The Department of Pathology at the University of Utah is seeking a pathologist with training and/or experience in the diagnosis, teaching, and clinical research of pediatric pathology. Candidates must be certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology or equivalent and be eligible for certification in Pediatric Pathology. Candidate must also be eligible for medical licensure in Utah. Salary and rank will be based on training and experience.
The Division of Pediatric Pathology is based at Primary Children's Medical Center, a private 292-bed tertiary/quaternary pediatric hospital owned by Intermountain Healthcare (a non-profit group of 27 regional hospitals throughout the Intermountain West) located on the University of Utah campus that serves a 5-state area in the Intermountain West. The Department of Pathology has excellent clinical, research, and education programs; and operates a national reference laboratory, ARUP Laboratories, which provides unique opportunities for research and education. The Division currently includes 6 pediatric pathologists and has a Pediatric Pathology fellowship program. Division members also hold joint appointments in and/or interact closely with the Departments of Pediatrics and Obstetrics & Gynecology, Huntsman Cancer Institute.
