Essential Functions: • Solicits, negotiates, and secures contracts, and generates contracted revenues from prospects that meet the criteria and overall goals of the business unit. • Serves as a liaison and central point of contact for clients, campus service providers (e.g., dining services provider, facilities management, IT), and vendors. • Prepares and presents requests for proposals (RFPs) for both client and University benefits. • Prospects for new contract business using a variety of methods including telephone calls, outside sales calls, attending community functions, internet prospecting, supplier partnerships, etc. • Develops, implements, and modifies sales action plans. Markets and advertises activities in conjunction with sales plans. • Performs logistical planning and event execution to ensure contracted obligations. • Manages clients with an exceptional level of customer service and knowledge of industry best practices from initial inquiry through post-event billing. Monitors client specifications and expectations to promote smooth execution and client satisfaction.
Physical Effort: Requires regular traversing of the University Campus to meet with clients and stakeholders and oversee conferences and events. Event equipment set-up assistance and adjustments may be required. The ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, and lift objects up to 30 pounds is required.
