Job Description

·Oversees and guides the evening and weekend facility, event, and meeting operation.

oEnsures that internal spaces and exterior doors are properly secured.

oCompletes report documentation for the daily operation.

oSupervises scheduled activities and events, consulting with patrons to ensure operations and problem resolution.

·Coordinates and supervises professional and student staff in customer care provision.

oSupervise professional custodial staff during evening and weekend shifts.

oSupervise student assistant staff.

oSchedule work shifts and plan work schedules of evening custodial and student staff.

·Facilitates the physical set of event and meeting spaces and audio-visual presentation program.

oSupervise the set up and tear down of rooms for scheduled events.

oCheck for proper placement of tables, chairs, podiums, audio-visual, and catering sets.

oCheck audio-visual equipment for proper installation and working order.

oGuide users on proper use of provided audio-visual equipment.

·Participates in the hiring, training, and development of staff.

·First responder to emergencies and unplanned occurrences during the evening and weekend hours.

oHandles emergencies, accidents, and other unplanned occurrences by following established operating guidelines.

Shift

This position would be scheduled 3:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday, with flexible hours available on Saturdays and at selected times to match event schedules.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of experience working in a supervisory role.
• Experience in building management, personnel management, student personnel administration, business administration or related area or an equivalent combination of educations and training from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired as necessary.
• Effective Interpersonal communication abilities.
• Logistical analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
• Organization and leadership skills.
• Commitment to customer care and service experience.
• Attention to detail and planning.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Starting at $58,573 annually, commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity.
