Job Summary

Job Description:

The Child Development Center of the Bluegrass at the University of Kentucky is hiring Summer full time assistant teachers for infant, toddler and preschool classrooms. CDCB is a NAEYC accredited/ 5 STAR rated program that serves students with and without special needs. ( CDA or educational certification preferred, but not required). The Child Development Center of the Bluegrass offers a competitive benefits package and is conveniently located on The University of Kentucky's campus. Employees have onsite free parking.

Assistant teaching Duties include:

-Provide small and large group instruction under Lead Teacher supervision

-Assist in informal assessment, programming and data collection

-Collect data and complete forms as directed by Lead Teacher

-Assist in supervision of students in the classroom and on the playground

-Assist in making materials for classroom use

-Prepare and clean up after meals

-Demonstrate good attendance

-Obtain 15 clock hours of Training each year
