Job Summary

The Coordinator of Administrative Projects is responsible for organizing and coordinating all aspects of administrative projects within their supported area.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Performance Requirements*
  • Completes a broad variety of administrative projects, including managing an extremely active calendar of appointments; completing expense reports and payment of invoices and contracts; composing and preparing correspondence that is sometimes confidential; arranging complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas; and compiling documents for travel-related meetings
  • Researches, prioritizes, and follows up on incoming issues and concerns, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature, determines appropriate course of action, referral, or response
  • Acts as the first line of contact for the supported area; receives all incoming calls and forms of correspondence for the supported area; routes them accurately and appropriately
  • Successfully completes critical aspects of deliverables with a hands-on approach, including drafting acknowledgment letters, personal correspondence, and other tasks that are crucial to the smooth operation of the supported area
  • Prioritizing conflicting needs; handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures
  • Facilitates cross-divisional coordination and outreach to ensure the supported area has timely and accurate information regarding activities, events, initiatives, and appointments
  • Conveys information to internal and external partners in a comprehensive, accurate, and effective manner
  • Drafts budget reports and summaries for the supported area
Service Excellence
  • Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations
  • Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
  • Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through the Tarrant County College (TCC) Institute
  • Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
*Performs other related tasks as required

Required Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Three (3) years of professional work experience
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
