Job Summary: SUNY Brockport is currently accepting applications for a Records and Assessment Coordinator in the University Police Department. Reporting to the Chief of Police, the Records and Assessment Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and oversight of the majority of the daily administrative functions of the department.

The person in this role will oversee and process all required documentation for hiring, probationary reviews, and performance evaluations. Maintain all department personnel records. Assist with process implementation and department outreach of new policy initiatives. Collaborate with departments and staff to process department requests. Coordinate department in-service training requirements. Prepare reports and oversee department budget accounts. Update and maintain the department website and serve on campus wide committees.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree by time of appointment from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university.
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse environment with a variety of constituents.
  • Strong writing, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong technology skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher).
  • Excellent attention to detail and proactive follow-up.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a higher education setting.
  • Experience with records management.
  • Research and grants writing experience.
  • Law enforcement experience.

Work Schedule: Monday -Friday 8am-4pm
Salary and Benefits: The Minimum Salary for this position is $47,261.
