Kindergarten Teacher
Beginning July 2023, St. Michael’s School is seeking a full-time Kindergarten teacher to join our talented Lower School faculty serving students in Grades TK-4. The Kindergarten teacher guides and helps develop the academic, social, and spiritual growth of our students.
Qualifications
A qualified candidate has earned his or her bachelor’s degree in education or in a related field (advanced study and/or Master’s degree is preferred) and has at least two years of classroom teaching experience, preferably at the elementary level. Prior work in an independent-school setting is desirable. Teaching certification for Arizona is preferred; we will consider other state certifications as well.
Desired Expertise and Experience
- Demonstrated experience working with young learners (4-9 years old)
- Competence and familiarity with teaching multiple academic subjects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Reporting and Evaluation
All Lower School faculty report to the Lower School (TK-4) Division Director; evaluations are performed on a timeline determined by the Division Director, in collaboration with the Head of School.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary is competitive with area schools, commensurate with years of experience and educational background, and negotiable within established ranges.
