Summer Events and Audio & Visual Operations Coordinator

Conference Services

Job Description: The Coordinator will be responsible for daily facility operations and audio-visual support for conference groups. Responsibilities include scheduling, training, and supervising student staff; coordinating meeting room set up and breakdown; and engaging in graduation ceremony support in June and event support logistics. Candidate will work closely with colleagues in Facilities, Public Safety, and Information Technology.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree by May 2024
  • Experience working in event, programming, Audio & Visual, or customer service environment
  • Strong organizational skills and communication skills
  • Enthusiastic, friendly, patient and compassionate
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently
  • Valid driver's license preferred


Days/Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Evening & weekend hours required.

Begin/End: May 1 - August 21. Up to 35 hours per week. Not to exceed 500 hours.

Reports to: Assistant Director of Operations, Junior Salazar

Where will they work: ROTC 206B / 204

Hourly Salary range: $17 - 18/hr.

Budget range salary: $8,500 - $9,000

This position may be relocated to any of St. John's University's physical locations at any time.
