Maintenance Operator

WATER & SEWER MAINTENANCE OPERATOR

The Somerset County Sanitary District, Inc. is accepting applications for a Water and Sewer Maintenance Operator.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or high school equivalency. Applicants must have extensive knowledge of electrical circuits, wiring especially of pumps and motors, troubleshooting and repair of electrical circuits and troubleshooting of SCADA equipment. Applicants must also have a general knowledge of pumps, plumbing and possess basic mechanical abilities. Experience in the fields Water Treatment and Distribution, Wastewater Collection and Treatment or Industrial Maintenance is a plus. Water or Wastewater Operator Certification is a plus. The Water and Sewer Maintenance Operation position requires a Journeyman’s Electrical License and valid Class B CDL with Air and Tanker endorsements Driver’s License. A copy of the applicant’s license and MVA Driving Record must be submitted with all applications.

The Water and Sewer Maintenance Operator position includes the following benefits: MD Pension System, Health Insurance, Vacation and Sick Leave.

The Position is a Grade 10 with a starting salary of $53,841.
