Assistant Teaching Professor American Politics and Political Methodology

The Department of Political Science at the Pennsylvania State University invites applications for a position as Assistant Teaching Professor in Political Science, to start Fall 2024.

This is a non-tenure-track, 36-week, full-time, term appointment (two academic semesters).

We seek scholars of American Politics who can offer in-residence introductory and advanced undergraduate courses on American politics and public policy, as well as upper-level research design and data analysis courses. Responsibilities will include teaching six courses a year.

A Ph.D. in Political Science, American Politics, or related field at time of appointment is required.

Assistant Teaching Professors participate extensively in the intellectual life of the department, including opportunities to attend seminars and workshops, and present research. Salary is competitive and additional money is available for travel and research.
