The Norris School District is seeking applicants for the Director of Grounds position starting Spring 2023 due to retirement. The Norris School District has a central site located 8 miles south of Lincoln in a rural setting. Norris is a growing class B school district that educates 2,500 on a daily basis.
The Director of Grounds is responsible for all aspects of the care and maintenance of the grounds and athletic facilities on the Norris campus. The Norris campus has over 160 acres that includes four school buildings, football stadium, softball complex, trap range, 5000 meter cross country course, native prairie, and athletic practice fields. This position currently works four 10 hour days (40 hours per week) with the option to be flexible. Qualifications, but not limited to, Norris is looking for in the next Director of Grounds:
- Extensive experience in all aspects of grounds maintenance including landscape chemical application, tree and shrub care, snow removal, athletic field maintenance, irrigation maintenance and repair, equipment maintenance and repair,and computer skills with familiarity with Google Earth.
- Pesticide Applicators License (04) or ability to get within the first year of employment
This position is salaried with benefits (including up to full family medical). The salary will be based on experience and education level.
