Facilities Maintenance Associate

JOB SUMMARY: Involved in Retail Service Center and facilities maintenance activities that ensure 
retail facility is maintained in an orderly manner. 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for assigned preventive maintenance and custodial 
duties. 

Specifically, 
1. Conduct complete building maintenance (inside and out), which includes timely preventative 
maintenance, snow removal, and landscaping tasks.
2. Assists with necessary repairs of retail building and grounds; works with contracted vendors, as 
needed.
3. Conduct retail facility custodial duties as acting backup to the Retail Janitor, as needed/when 
requested. 
4. Assist other retail service center departments and customers, as available, per manager approval.
5. Operate forklift truck. 
6. Demonstrates accountability for all safety procedures. 
7. Other duties as assigned. 
8. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE and SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent. 
2. Previous business sector custodial experience. 
3. One year of facilities maintenance and/ or repair, preferably in a large facility/ setting with knowledge 
of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry. 
4. Previous forklift experience or ability to be certified. 
5. Ability to communicate effectively with management, peers, customers, and vendors. 
6. Possess strong problem solving skills with the ability to identify and troubleshoot issues effectively.
7. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record. 

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this position, employee is regularly 
required to stand for long periods of time, walk, use hands and fingers, grip; reach; bend, twist, squat, 
pull; and talk and hear. Ability to lift, push, pull and carry 50 lbs. Must wear PPE where required.
