This is advanced and highly responsible independent work issuing vehicles and equipment to ambulance crews. Work also involves coordinating the appropriate vehicle and maintaining accurate records on all assets and disposable EMS supplies. Employees assigned to this position report directly to the Special Operations Field Operations Supervisor.
NOTE:
- Performs vehicle supply operations.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- Issues vehicles and necessary equipment, supplies and forms to the field crews and verifies that the items are returned upon their end of the shift.
- Ensures equipment receipt is accurate and complete.
- Notes any discrepancies and facilitates the replacement of missing items upon issuing vehicle to the crew.
- Maintains accurate documentation of all inventory removed from the warehouse.
- Performs warehouse supply operations.
- Prices and orders supplies as requested.
- Maintains security and adequate inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
- Maintains control, security and adequate inventory of medications.
- Receives and verifies supply orders, pulls and packages orders for delivery.
- Delivers supplies and equipment to EMS stations as needed.
- Assists with asset and non-asset inventory control.
- Maintains records of supplies and equipment issues.
- Accepts, delivers and rotates stock to ensure properly dated supplies.
- Coordinates vehicle maintenance and repair with the Fleet Maintenance division.
- Coordinates radio maintenance repair.
- Evaluates data and prepares reports on supply and equipment usage.
- Enters data into computerized database and processes paperwork for payment of equipment and supplies received.
OTHER IMPORTANT OR MARGINAL DUTIES
Complies with all HIPAA confidentiality policies and procedures set in place by Leon County EMS. Maintains compliance with applicable division, departmental, and human resources policies.

Independent judgment is required in the performance of duties and application of established standards.
Supervision Received
Work is performed under the direction of a higher-level supervisor and is reviewed through conferences, reports, and observation of results obtained.

Work is performed through the use of a computer and various software programs. Operates business office machines, adding machine, and calculator.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of procurement and inventory control of EMS medical, materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Knowledge of medical equipment, supplies, and materials used in an EMS setting.
- Knowledge of standard office machines, office procedures and processes, and filing systems.
- Knowledge of personal computer software in a Windows environment.
- Ability to perform basic computer functions.
- Skilled in the successful completion of multiple, simultaneous and rapidly emergent tasks.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
- Ability to read and write clearly and complete forms accurately.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions concerning materials production.
- Ability to effectively and accurately follow through on assignments with attention to details.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience in a supply room or warehouse.
- No prior drug related convictions.
- Drug testing under County drug and alcohol testing policy may be required in the event of missing narcotics.
Must possess a valid State of Florida Class "E" Operator's License and have a favorable driving record.
