Heraeus Electro Nite is in search of a recent graduate or early career individual with a two-year engineering or related technical degree, who is motivated, and passionate about performing hands on work as a Quality Control Technician. We are seeking someone who embraces the opportunity to be involved in six sigma, scrap reduction and continuous improvement projects. Ideal candidate will also be career minded and aspire to develop into a role of increasing responsibility such as a Certified Quality Technician or Quality Engineer.
Summary: Incumbent tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Test/Inspection of incoming products per control plan and related documents to ensure compliance with company work instructions
- Conduct in-process visual testing and final tests. Document results in accordance with company work instructions (e.g. pop-out tests, hardness teats, gaps and cracks, )
- Maintain relevant ISO documentation, use of DMS.
- Monitor and reduce scrap through identification of process improvement methodologies
- Schedule and Perform internal and external calibrations, as needed.
- Conduct internal audits both process and product
- Able to clearly communicate issues and develop new approaches to solve problems.
- Identify, Categorize and disposition non conforming and rework product
- Prepare and present technical reports and program information on results of quality assurance
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
- 2 year engineering or related technical degree
- Previous experience in a manufacturing Quality role, preferred
- Able to apply basic statistical techniques
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with engineering drawings/BOM’s
- ISO operations experience
- Demonstrated ability to operate (basic functions) in an SAP computer environment
- Mechanical aptitude (demonstrated or measured)
- Able to use measuring tools (calipers/tape measure etc.)
- Must possess high attention to detail
- Must be self-directed with ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- Basic Microsoft Office skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Experience with Minitab and SAP highly desired
Certificates:
- Green belt certified -preferred
- ASQ certifications (any applicable) – preferred

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:00am to 4:00pm w/30 min lunch break
