Position Requirements:
- Education and/or Experience- A minimum of a high school diploma, preferred. At least 3 years’ experience in a Lettershop environment. Some leadership experience is helpful but not required.
- Language skills- Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English
- Mathematical Skills- Ability to do basic math calculations.
- Reasoning Ability- Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
- Physical Demands-While engaged in the duties of this job, the employee will be required to perform the following activities: Standing in one place for extended periods, walking around production area, and talking above noise. Good manual dexterity is a must. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Vision Requirements- Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches of less).
Color Vision- ability to distinguish colors.
Ability to Focus- ability to bring an object into sharp focus.
Depth Perception- ability to judge distances and spatial relationships.
Work Environment:

- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Temperature extremes may be experienced during the summer and winter months.
- While in the production area, the employee will be working near moving mechanical parts.
Authority, Responsibility and Duties:
- Authority- The lettershop Team Lead derives his/hers authority from the Production Manager.
- The lettershop Team Lead has sufficient authority to fulfill the responsibilities and duties assigned to this position, within the guidelines established by the Production Manager.
- Any authority not specifically assigned, in writing, to another position, will remain with the Lettershop Team Lead.
- On occasion the Production Manager may temporarily assign one or more responsibilities to another Lead clerk, this does not relieve the Lettershop Team Lead of the ultimate responsibility in that area.
- The Lettershop Team Lead does not have the authority to hire, fire, evaluate and discipline personnel working on behalf of the position.
- Take any action necessary to carry out responsibilities of the position, so long as it is consistent with the established company policy and sound judgement.
Responsibilities:
- Provide training for new lettershop clerks.
- Oversee Team members and jobs.
- Keep equipment in good working order.
- Ensure customers are receiving the best service possible and strive for zero errors.
- Promote an enjoyable working atmosphere for the Team members.
- Train a designated employee to assume the duties of the Lettershop Team Lead in the event of unforeseen and prolonged absence.
Job Duties:
- Maintain training records on all Lettershop Team members.
- Monitor all jobs in production to ensure that they are accurately completed on time and in the most efficient manner possible.
- Assist Production Manager with coordinating Team members vacations, assuring the proper staffing levels are maintained.
- Order parts and supplies necessary for Lettershop functions.
- Make sure that machine maintenance is completed on time.
- Complete all reports required.
- Monitor inventory of company and customer material and give notice when thresholds have warranted more materials.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Production Manager.
