Electrical Tech
SUMMARY:
Installs electrical conduit, wiring, and devices in generator enclosures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Performs a wide variety of electrical installation work on electrical systems, equipment and apparatuses.
- Installs complex wiring circuits and distribution centers in conformance with established codes as directed by electricians
- Installs switches and controls, central and subsidiary control panels, electronic devices, and other gear incidental to the installation.
- Follows electrical drawings and work instructions.
- Diagnoses and remedies electrical troubles with the assistance of electricians.
- Repairs and Replace apparatuses.
- Uses all required electrical measuring and testing devices.
- Complies with prescribed safety regulations.
- Works from a general assignment and completes project with direction from electricians.
- Assembles functional parts of enclosures and tanks using hand tools, levels, and straight edges.
- Uses forklifts, cranes, aerial lifts and other lifting apparatuses to aid in the assembly process.
- Assembles, installs and/or repairs wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
- Uses tools ranging from common hand and power tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
- Completes tasks in a timely manner.
- Cleans and organizes work area.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
One year of experience in electrical field
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
