School Nurse

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in nursing from an accredited school; valid State of Wisconsin Registered Professional Nurse license; previous experience in child and/or community health nursing desired; current certification for CPR
The Dodgeland School District has an opening for a School Nurse to strengthen and facilitate the educational process by preventing, modifying or removing health-related barriers to learning in individual students; promote an optimal level of wellness for students and staff; assume responsibility for appropriate assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, management, and/or referral activities; act as a child/student advocate; serve as the direct link between physicians, families and community agencies to assure access and continuity of health care for students; provide relevant instruction, counseling, and guidance to students, parents, staff and others concerning health-related issues; uphold professional standards and other state statutes and regulations applicable to school nursing practice; and follow District policies and administrative guidelines.
This position is a school-year employee for 8 hours per day (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM) to begin as soon as possible.
