Library Clerk

Enjoy working with people and technology? The library has openings for part-time Library Clerks to work between 12-20 hours per week. Friendly, detail-oriented individuals with strong customer service experience and basic technology skills, as well as a knowledge of books, movies, and other media, are encouraged to apply. Library Clerks help maintain a pleasant and friendly environment for patrons. A passion for literacy and willingness to share that enthusiasm with patrons are positives! Primary responsibilities include working at the circulation desk, checking materials in and out, arranging materials in alpha-numerical order, shelving items accurately, answering phones, and using the library catalog to assist patrons. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

Available shifts include Monday and Friday mornings; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoon/evenings; and at least one Saturday per month for all shifts. High School Diploma/GED required. The current wage rate for this position is $13.11 per hour. Review of applications begins March 31, 2023.
