As an Admission Advisor at Baker College, your primary role is to provide guidance and support to both prospective and current students throughout their journey in the admission and enrollment process. Utilizing various recruitment channels, you'll focus on delivering effective, student-centered outreach efforts to reach a diverse audience of potential students and their families. Under the supervision of the Director of Admissions- you'll work closely with students, assisting them in understanding the admission process and aiding them in achieving their personal and professional aspirations.

In this role, you will be responsible for counseling and advising learners and their families about educational opportunities, admission, transfer credit, financial aid, and institutional policies and requirements. You will maintain communication with prospective learners through various channels throughout the admission process. Utilizing institutional technology, you will communicate and engage with students, process admission records, track and analyze data, and prepare reports. Additionally, you will assist with formulating, developing, and implementing admissions-related policies and procedures, ensuring proficiency with admission processes, programs, majors, and courses. Staying current on developments in higher education related to admission and financial aid is essential. You will represent the institution at recruiting events, including college fairs, high schools, and other promotional opportunities, delivering outstanding customer service to support recruiting efforts. Understanding and striving to meet departmental and individual goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) are integral to this role. Participation in training and professional development, as well as virtual college events such as information sessions, open houses, and orientations, is expected. You will implement recruitment and communication strategies designed to meet KPIs and support the deployment of strategies to better assist students. Moreover, you'll implement a communication strategy to offer guidance and ensure timely follow-up with future students and their support networks until they successfully complete the admission and onboarding process. It is essential for you to uphold these responsibilities ethically and in alignment with Baker College's mission, vision, and values, emphasizing diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice.

A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is a requirement for this role, while possessing a Master's degree is preferred. Candidates with 1-3 years of higher education admissions experience are required, though those with more than 3 years' experience are preferred. This experience equips individuals with the necessary background to effectively navigate the complexities of admissions processes and better support prospective students in their educational journey.
