We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate faculty member to teach and mentor future physical therapists. This is a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track faculty position. The preferred candidate must have a physical therapy license with strengths, interests, and certification as a neurological clinical specialist. The Department of Physical Therapy at Hardin-Simmons University seeks an applicant to join our dynamic and passionate faculty as assistant/associate professor. This is a 12-month, full-time, non-tenure track faculty position. The preferred candidate must have a physical therapy license with strengths, interests, and certification as a neurological specialist. Education/Experience

  • A bachelor's is required as the prerequisite to attaining the DPT.
  • A DPT degree with post-professional doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, or ScD) preferred; those working towards completion of post-professional doctorate will be considered.
  • ABPTS or other specialty certification preferred
  • Previous teaching or guest lecture experience in physical therapy program preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of practice experience as a licensed physical therapist with a focus in neurological rehabilitation preferred.

Certificates/Licenses

  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a PT in the state of Texas required.
  • A specialty certification in neurology is preferred.
  • Current CPR certification for all ages is required
